Planning & Development Manager
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Planning and development of new business.
Identifying and evaluating expansion opportunities.
High level planning of potential schemes.
Preparing business plans, project proposals and funding applications.
Progress reporting and team leadership.
Defining the scope of works for new projects.
Consultant appointment and liaison.
Ensuring GIS and related resources are maintained.
Risk assessments and contingency planning.
Mentoring and guiding direct reportee/s.
• BSc. Engineering degree (preferably Civil/Agricultural) or BTech degree (Civil) appropriate to water engineering.
• Registration with ECSA as Professional Engineer or Technologist.
• Minimum of eight years’ experience in a water engineering project and planning environment of which five years must have been at middle management level.
Experience in planning and implementation of local and regional water supply and sanitation schemes.
Knowledge of potable and wastewater treatment.
A strong background in asset management and refurbishment scheduling.
Proficient in the simultaneous planning of large and small engineering projects.
Computer literacy in MS Office, MS Projects, GIS and CAD.
Management, negotiation and conflict resolution Skills.
Excellent supervisory and report writing skills.
